Safeguarding

The school is very fortunate that so many parents and friends help us to enhance the children’s school experience with projects, trips and classroom visits. We need to ensure the children’s safety at all times and for some of these activities, DBS or ISA Children First checks (formerly known as List 99 checks) are required. The school takes safeguarding the children in their care very seriously and follows the advice of the Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Staff and Regular Volunteer Helpers

All persons working at school, whether voluntary or paid, must have a current, Enhanced DBS Disclosure for Huttoft Primary School. 'Regular' is deemed to be at least 3 times per annum.

Open Afternoons/Class Assemblies/Audiences/Irregular Helpers

Parents invited into school for these sorts of occasions do not have to have a DBS.

Visiting Professionals/Artistes/Sports Coaches/SEN Advisors/Educationalists/Health Professionals

All these visitors to Huttoft Primary school must provide their original Enhanced DBS disclosure for inspection.

Students/Work Experience Students

Trainee students working at Huttoft Primary School must have a current Enhanced DBS disclosure for either their college/university or for Huttoft Primary School.

School children on Work Experience from local secondary schools do not require a /DBS as they work alongside school staff.
