Pupil Premium

It is the responsibility of the governors to explain Pupil Premium expenditure to parents in the form of an annual statement.

Our annual report explains how Pupil Premium has been used within school and the effect this has had on the attainment of the pupils. The report includes:

  • how much pupil premium funding that we received for particular academic years
  • details of how we intend to spend the funding, including our reasons and evidence
  • details of how we spent the Pupil Premium funding we received for last academic year
  • how it made a difference to the attainment of disadvantaged pupils

Catch Up & Recovery Premium

Following the pandemic, we received funding streams entitled Catch Up and Recovery.  It is the responsibility of the governors to monitor the impact of this expenditure.

Catch Up premium related to 2020-21, this grant enabled us to provide targeted support to identify and narrow gaps to learning.

Recovery premium was introduced in September 2021. It is new one-off funding for the 2021/22 academic year.  Building on the pupil premium, this funding will help schools to deliver evidence-based approaches for supporting the most disadvantaged pupils.

More details of our plans regarding this funding can be found in the Pupil Premium strategy documents above.
