Miss Burles is the Year 3 class teacher and Ms Stapleton and Miss Whitham are our teaching assistants. We have other adults who come and work with us throughout the week too.

When you step into Year 3 you are always greeted with a smile and a friendly atmosphere where Huttoft's school values shine through every day. The children take pride in their classroom and their learning is evident through the displays on the walls and by their enthusiasm when talking to them.

It is the first year in the Juniors and although many things are the same there are a couple of new experiences - such as learning French as a Modern Foreign Language and doing Athletics as part of the PE Curriculum.

 

Projects: 

We follow the National Curriculum through Cornerstones Projects which cover English, Science, History, Geography, Art and DT which are linked together through termly projects (listed below) allowing us to learn and embed key concepts over several weeks.  Computing, RE, PSHE, Music, MFL (French) and PE are all covered through separate schemes with weekly lessons and more details of what is covered can be found on our Curriculum Sheets. We also have daily Mindfulness and Daily Mile sessions which, along with our classroom culture, ensures that an awareness of good mental health and emotional wellbeing is established as well as the importance of good physical health.
